About

Waltraud Steinbrueck- Trudy to her friends- started The European Deli in her home in 1971.

“I must have been amongst one of the first women to go into business for themselves in those days” Steinbrueck said.

She opened the Deli in her home because she had 3 small children and did not want to go out of the house to work or leave the children with a sitter.

“Since we had room in the house, I opened the business” She said. Trudy ran the only German Deli in New Hampshire for over 30 years, until she retired in Dec. of 2004.

The Euro Deli closed for a short time, while the new owners Peter and Esthela Rothe, moved the Deli next door, to it’s present location. They reopened in January 2005.

Peter and Esthela worked hard to successfully expand the business and the product line.

In Jan. 2008 the business was taken over by myself, and with the help of my family, we will continue the service and traditions established by Trudy and carried on by Mr. Rothe.

One of our modern accomplishments is starting this web shopping experience. We hope you enjoy it, and if possible come visit the Deli where we offer more items then we show online.

Come Again,
